About this Program

Undergraduate students earning a BFA, select one of four concentrations:  2D Media, 3D Media, Graphic Design or Photography / New Media.

The School of Art & Design's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art curriculum offers a professional program that comprehensively meets the needs of our students and prepares them to thrive in a competitive art world.  The program provides a well-crafted balance between the conceptual and technical aspects of art making.  This includes a foundations program with a foundations review, education in art history, a capstone experience prior to a student's graduation, and 4 Concentrations in studio art and design: AD2D (designating Two Dimensional Art Studio courses), AD3D (designating Three Dimensional Art Studio courses), ADGD (designating Graphic Design Studio courses) and ADPM (designating Photography/New Media Studio courses).

The Bachelor of Fine Arts is designed to encourage students to develop a personal focus and direction as well as learn to function professionally as artists.  We currently have approximately 125 majors enrolled within our 4 Concentrations.
