For every 100 jobs in IT, information assurance and cyber security, only 12 are filled by women.

Though they represent a mere 24% of the STEM workforce, women earn on average 33% more when they work in these high-growth fields.

Join Eastern Michigan University for Digital Divas:

an annual, daylong program for young women. On Friday, November 3, 2017, we'll hold our middle school only event. A separate event is held for high school students in April.

Digital Diva’s mission is to provide a venue for connecting middle and high school young women and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We accomplish this through:

  • Introducing young women to careers in technology
  • Recruiting young women into technology majors in post-secondary education
  • Breaking down gender stereotypes regarding tech careers
  • Creating awareness of safe online interactions
  • Encouraging ethical behaviors in texting, emailing and social media
