    To join, a student must:

    • be a current EMU Anthropology Major who has taken at least 12 credit hours in anthropology
    • carry at least a 3.00 GPA

Aspiring members should plan to attend the yearly Open House Anthro HS meeting in the fall. At that time, they will complete and submit their application along with a lifetime membership fee of $25 to the Anthro HS Faculty Sponsor.

Honorary membership may be bestowed to Anthropology Program alumni/ae who express an interest in serving as Anthro HS Advisers.

Anthro HS regular members are eligible to serve as officers of the society. Appointments are finalized at the yearly Anthro HS Open House meeting, held in the Winter Term, when the new officers' roster (one President, and an Executive Board including various Ad Hoc Vice-Presidents) is registered with the AHS Faculty Sponsor.

The Anthropology Honors Society's goal is to provide a setting for anthropology students to explore resources for academic excellence, recognize achievement in the discipline, and organize activities of professional interest.
