Professional Summary

Colleen is an LMSW licensed with the State of Michigan in both Clinical and Macro practice.  She began teaching at EMU as an adjunct lecturer in 2010 and started in her current role in Fall 2018.  Colleen spent 24 years working in the Ypsilanti community as a leader in Youth Development and Crisis Intervention Services for a local youth serving agency.  In addition she leads Washtenaw County's first Pet Loss Support Group in collaboration with the HSHV and maintains a private practice specializing in Pet Grief and Loss.  Her professional interests and areas of concentration are youth development, grief and loss, crisis intervention, group work, and program development.
