James Bolosh

James Bolosh ('91) consults and options his creative ideas with some of the largest studios and companies in Los Angeles and New York including 495 Productions, Studio Lambert, CoolFire Media and StyleHaul. Prior to going out on his own he was Vice President of Series Development for MTV Networks in Los Angeles. Bolosh was recruited by MTV from HGTV where he spent seven years creating design and real estate shows.


Tony Caselli

Tony Caselli, an EMU theatre graduate who runs the Williamston Theatre in Williamston, MI, has hit a home run as director of Ernie, a new play written by the acclaimed Mitch Albom. The play is currently running in Detroit's City Theatre (right behind the Hockeytown Cafe) and continues to fill the house.


 Joshua Chiatovich

Joshua Chiatovich graduated from EMU in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in communication and a minor in East Asian studies. After graduation he was accepted as a graduate student in one of China's top universities (Xiamen University) on a full scholarship. In 2017 Joshua returned to Detroit and is currently the chief communications officer (CCO) of Detroit Chinatown and director of the 2019 Detroit China Festival. Joshua is also co-owner of Detroit's first Japanese Izakaya restaurant, Katsu Detroit.


Dennis Cockrum 

Dennis Cockrum is a 1977 graduate of EMU's Theatre program. Cockrum was a 2004 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Cockrum has achieved the rare status of being a working professional actor for over two decades. His films include "Uncle Buck" and "Desperate Measures." His television work includes "Becker" and the award-winning series, "The West Wing."


Natasha Collins

Natasha Collins is a 1998 graduate of the Telecommunications and Film program (now Electronic Media and Film Studies) and is an anchor weekday mornings on WLKY News This Morning Channel 32 in Louisville, KY.


Beth Doane

Beth Doane graduated from EMU in 2004 and founded Andira International as a fashion import and distribution company shortly thereafter. She was honored by our Alumni Association as an Outstanding Young Alumna in 2012.


Char DeWolf

Char DeWolf is a multiple-emmy award winner, freelance producer and writer. She has written and produced numerous films, videos, and national documentary programs. She has written scripts for some of America's foremost talents including James Earl Jones, Paul Newman, Jeff Daniels, and Julie Harris. Her film, "The New Normal: Life After a Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant" is yet another award-winner for her.


Tim Dyer

Tim Dyer earned degrees in 1961 and 1965 and was a teacher, debate coach, principal and superintendent in Wayne-Westland schools. He also served as head of the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Tim has established a substantial trust to benefit EMU. It will make a huge impact on the lives of CMTA and EMU students. His gift has established the Center for the Study and Research of Equality and Human Rights here at the University.


Dale Heydlauff

Dale Heydlauff earned his BS in 1978 and during his undergraduate studies he was a member of three national championship forensics teams. He is VP of corporate communications for American Electric Power and President of their foundation. He returns often to EMU and currently serves on the EMU Foundation Board. He was an outstanding keynote speaker for EMU's 2012 Undergraduate Symposium. 


Rob Powers

Rob Powers ('88), honored in 2012 with an Alumni Association Award, is a sports broadcaster at the ABC affiliate in New York City. Rob has won four Emmy awards and has been named the New York State Broadcasters Association First Place Winner three times.


Scott Reynolds

Scott Reynolds is a 1995 alumnus. Scott will be known to anyone who is a "Dexter" television series fan. Scott just finished his fifth season writing for the show. He is happy to announce that while they didn't win the Best Drama series (lost to Madmen), they continue to be nominated by the Writer's Guild and also to receive Golden Globe nominations.


John Rutherford 

John Rutherford earned his MA in theatre in 1995. Since then he has been teaching at Groves High School in Birmingham, MI. John's most recent honors include his selection as the 2011 Creative Writing Teacher of the Year by the Michigan Council for Teachers of English and his induction into the the Michigan Educational Theatre Hall of Fame. 


Rodney Slater

Rodney Slater is a 1977 graduate of Eastern Michigan University who went on to become Secretary of Transportation in the Clinton Administration. He is currently a partner in the law firm of Patton Boggs LLP in Washington D.C. and remains actively engaged in the success of EMU and especially EMU Forensics.
