Internships in CMTA
Communication
As a Communication major, you can take up to six credits of internship as part of the restricted electives requirement. An internship is optional but we encourage all communication students to consider finding an internship, as it provides many benefits now and in the future.
An internship can help you to narrow your field of possible career choices, and you will have an edge above your competition when graduating if you already have experience in your field. At the end of your internship you can walk away from the experience knowing that you have mastered your classroom knowledge and can put it to real use. It can teach you what your strengths and weaknesses are and how you can develop your skills for the future.
For more information about the Communication Internship program, please consult the Internship Information Packet. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to the internship director listed in the packet to make an appointment.
