COVID Protocols for Graduates, Guests, and Participants

At this time, we expect masks to be optional for graduates, guests, and participants. However, if Washtenaw County experiences an unexpected surge of COVID-19 cases, our mask protocol may change prior to the ceremonies. Should that happen, an update will be posted here on the website.

All August 2022 graduates who are participating in the 1:30 Commencement ceremony must be compliant with current EMU COVID-19 protocols including vaccinations or weekly testing.

We strongly encourage families to leave some space between themselves and other families, if possible. As a community that supports diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect, we ask that all graduates, guests, and participants be respected for their personal choices to ensure that we can successfully celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates on this very special day.
