We are pleased to announce that Eastern Michigan University will hold Commencement Ceremonies on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. These ceremonies will be for students from all colleges who have an active application to graduate in April 2025. Plan on arriving early to allow ample time for the entrance screening process.

The ceremonies will be livestreamed from the George Gervin GameAbove Center. The livestream will be available on both the Commencement website's homepage as well as the EMU YouTube Channel.  The livestream link will be available at the beginning of the ceremony.

  • Graduates From All Colleges Expand dropdown

    Graduates from the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, and the Individualized Studies Program will participate in the 9:30 a.m. ceremony.  Doors will open at 8 a.m.

    Graduates from the College of Business, GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology, and the College of Health and Human Services will participate in the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.  Doors will open at 12 p.m.

    All graduates must Apply to Graduate in order for a degree to be granted, regardless of whether you plan to participate in the ceremony. In order for your name to appear in commencement materials, you must Apply to Graduate by March 14, 2025.

    Please review the Health and Safety protocols that will be in place for Commencement. It is important to understand the bag policy, mask policy, and metal detector screening policy before arriving at the George Gervin GameAbove Center. Plan on arriving early to allow ample time for the entrance screening process.
