Heather Reid graduated from Purdue University Calumet in 2012 with a B.A. in Sociology. Her research interests focus on political, economic and social issues related to food and farming, community food security and sustainable agriculture, and health and nutrition. Since 2012, Heather has been awarded a graduate assistantship within the department of Sociology, Anthropology, & Criminology. In her spare time, Heather enjoys hiking with her two energetic dogs, spending time at the beach and local parks, singing karaoke and practicing yoga.
