  • There will be an author meets critics session about Dr. Beth Currans's book Marching Dykes, Liberated Sluts, and Concerned Mothers: Women Transforming Public Space at the American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting on April 3, 2019.
  • Dr. Solange Simões, Dr. Jackie Goodman, and Salima Zaman attended the UN Conference on the Status of Women in March 2019. Dr. Simões was selected to speak during one of the high level sessions.
  • The Women of Color Feminisms and Leadership Symposium was on March 12 from 12-6. Dr. Tiffany Willoughby-Herard and Elizabeth Gonzalez delivered the keynote addresses.

  • Dr. Aliyah Khan discussed "Fashioning the Pious Woman in the Muslim Caribbean" on Feb 12, 2019.
