Providing Intellectual Perspective

The Women’s and Gender Studies Department offers an interdisciplinary academic major, two minors, a Master of Arts degree, and a Graduate Certificate in order to provide intellectual perspective and life enriching skills.  WGST courses are either stand-alone, or cross-listed with Business, Criminology, Communications, History, Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work to critically investigate issues of women, gender, and sexuality in historical and contemporary perspectives.

Undergraduate Programs

Through a diverse curriculum that explores historical, cultural, political, and economic aspects of gender and identity, students develop a deep understanding of systemic inequalities and the strategies to address them. Whether you are a new or transfer/community college student this program is for you.
