Relaxation Techniques

Various relaxation techniques are helpful and effective in reducing anxiety, depression, irritability, muscle tension, fatigue, and daily life stress. There are many ways to practice relaxation. What works for one person may not work for another. Forms of relaxation include:

  • Breathing Exercises
  • Grounding Exercises
  • Doing something creative
  • Practicing Mindfulness
  • Going for a walk
  • Listening to music
  • Guided Meditation
  • Enjoying nature
  • Journaling
  • Progressive Muscle Relaxation
