Pass rates are reported for all schools online on a state by state basis. Eastern's most recent NBCOT board examination pass rate is now available online. The occupational therapy certification (registration) examination is administered by a testing service under contract with the NBCOT. Currently there is on-demand testing. You will be responsible for having a transcript verifying your graduation sent to NBCOT. Information about NBCOT exam procedures will be on their website. Eligibility includes successful completion of all academic and fieldwork requirements. The certification examination is used as a basis for licensure in those states where occupational therapists are required to be licensed. Please check for your individual state licensure requirements. As part of your application, you will attest to your character, and you will be asked to answer questions related to the topic of felonies and or convictions. Please refer to the NBCOT website for additional information on an early determination review process relating to character or contact them via phone at at 301.990.7979 or their website.

Individuals with a history of felony conviction, license/registration/certification revocation or suspension, criminal record or college/university suspension may not be eligible for certification from the NBCOT. The NBCOT decides each case individually via its character review program. Individuals with such a history are advised to seek clarification of their eligibility by contacting NBCOT directly and participating in this program. Information on early Determination of Character Review from the NBCOT (for candidates who have not yet submitted an exam application) is available on the NBCOT website.
