- Congratulations SEED Lab Member Sarah Freeman for successfully defending her thesis, "Pathways from Parental Adverse Childhood Experiences to Child Emotion Regulation: The Role of Parent Emotion Regulation and Emotion Socialization"

Fall 2021
- The SEED Lab is looking to hire motivated undergraduate and graduate research assistants for a paid opportunity to help on an NIH-funded study of self-control in early childhood. Check out the "Join our Team" page for more details! The deadline to apply is Wednesday, 12/1.
- Congratulations to Dr. Lawler and Dr. Staples for being awarded a grant from the National Institute of Health to conduct a longitudinal study on the effects of early life stress on self-regulation development!

- Dr. Lawler was awarded a grant from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund to expand the EMU Early Childhood Clinics.
- Lab member Jerrica Pitzen successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled, "Understanding the Parental Mind: Examining the Stability of Parental Reflective Functioning Across the Birth of a Child and Associations with Mind-Mindedness." Way to go Dr. Pitzen!

- Congratulations to SEED Lab member Kaitlin Dwyer for her Undergraduate Research Stimulus Program Award for Summer 2019! She will be investigating parental self-efficacy, mental health and parental sensitivity as part of the Development of Self-Regulation Study. Kaitlin presented her proposed project at the Summer Science Research Initiative event on May 22.
