Biography

Don started his career in campus recreation while an undergraduate student at Central Michigan
University. While there he officiated and supervised intramural sports. After graduation at CMU, Don went to The
University of Southern Mississippi to pursue a master's degree while working as the Intramural and Club Sports
graduate assistant. After graduation at Southern Miss, Don moved back home and took over as the Assistant Director
of Recreation, Athletics, and Wellness at Lawrence Tech in Southfield, MI.
During his tenure at LTU he oversaw the daily operations for the recreation and athletics program. In 2011 the school
re-launched intercollegiate athletics and the department grew from an athletic department of zero to nearly 600
student athletes upon his departure.
Don started at Eastern Michigan University in September 2021. He came to EMU with several goals, most importantly
to provide a high quality recreation environment for the EMU community through quality facilities. He is excited to work
with a great team with REC/IM to serve the students of Eastern Michigan.
In this free time he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, watching sports and officiating high school sports.
