The Department of World Languages offers Mandarin Chinese courses: CHNE121, CHNE122, CHNE211, and CHNE212.   These courses fulfill the requirements of Humanities in General Education Area 4 and may count towards your major. Please note that we do not offer a Chinese Major or a Minor at this time, but we are building the capacity to create a Chinese Minor program in the years to come.

Advanced Placement (AP): If you have taken an Advanced Placement test in Chinese and earn a score of at least three, you will be granted five credits equivalent to CHNE121. If you earn a score of four, you will be granted five credits equivalent to CHNE122.

If you do not have an AP test score, you must take an in-house placement test in the Department of World Languages.
