Career-oriented language programs

EMU TESOL programs are designed to provide students not just with a job, but with a profession. In that spirit, Professors Jo Ann Aebersold and Cathy Day founded the Buckheister endowment, in honor of Dr. Patrick Buckheister, who passed away at a young age. The endowment allows us to provide monetary support for TESOL students who are presenting at TESOL conferences. To date, 60 students have received awards.
