Amir previously served as an Academic Advisor at Wayne County Community College District. In his former role, Amir advised students on curriculum requirements and oversaw the Men and Women’s Advocacy Group. Prior to this, Amir served as a Part-Time Academic Advisor at EMU in the University Advising and Career Development Center (UACDC) where his duties also included students in the Brotherhood Scholars program. Amir will earn his Masters of Science in Higher Education, Leadership and Administration from Capella University in the Spring 2021. He attended Eastern Michigan University as a transfer student, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
Chayna earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2018. She is currently a second year graduate student in the Master of Social Work program. Chayna developed a passion for student support services. She wants to be a part of alleviating the issues that students face on the front end, as a K-12 School Social Worker, in hopes that more students will have access to higher education.
Fun Fact: Chayna also works at a nonprofit organization providing therapeutic services to children with Autism.
