Department Research Seminars
Department of Economics sponsors a research seminar once per month during the Fall and Winter semesters. During these seminars, current faculty, researchers in surrounding universities present their current research to current students and faculty in the department. Meet and Greet Event
Every fall, economics faculty and students welcome the new academic year with this social event. This is a perfect opportunity for new students to meet with the faculty and students.


Student Awards Ceremony
Every April, the Department recognizes student academic and service achievements. Students who excel in academics and services are being awarded in this event. Gockerman, Murg and Pearson Awards with monetary prizes culminate the event. See the scholarships page for the description of awards.


Graduate Research Conference
Winter of each year, students present their research in this graduate conference sponsored by the Graduate School. Scholarships and fellowships are available through the event. Contact your faculty to participate! For more information see the Graduate Research Conference website.
Undergraduate Symposium
Each spring the College of Arts and Sciences sponsors a symposium which showcases undergraduate creativity and research. As participants in the symposium, students present results of their research projects in a setting which mirrors that of a professional academic conference. Workshops
