Biography

Lisa’s lifelong passion for music paved the way for her academic journey, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications and Film from Eastern Michigan University, and a minor in Journalism.  As a staff member at WQBR, Lisa’s two-year tenure solidified her dedication to a career in radio.  Now, she brings her extensive 25-year experience in Detroit radio to the Honors College. 

Lisa shares her life with her husband, Mike, with whom she has shared 21 years of adventures and laughter. Her son Everett is currently embarking on his freshman year at Eastern Michigan University, following in his mother’s academic footsteps.  Their home is lively and vibrant thanks to the playful antics of two young dogs, Shelby, and Beans, as well as the exuberant presence of two cats, Luna, and Aero, all of whom are under four years old.

Lisa loves all things Harry Potter, road trips to the lakeshores of west Michigan, and baking delicious treats for friends and family.
