Endowed Chairs

The College of Education has two endowed chairs, and it was the first college at EMU to have an endowed chair.

• The Morris Chair assists the College of Education in achieving its vision of playing a leadership role in transforming education.
• The Porter Chair assists in expanding the College and University’s role in urban school districts in Michigan, with an emphasis on school-community partnerships.

The specific activities undertaken by the endowed chairs must fit within the separate program guidelines and further the strategic mission, vision, and goals of the College.
