The EMU College of Education in close collaboration with colleges across the university offers a full range of PK-12 teacher certification programs. In addition, we offer leadership and special non-teaching minors that enhance any major at the University.
The EMU College of Education offers a range of highly regarded graduate programs that prepare students to start or advance careers as teachers, PK-12 and university leaders, counseling mental health professionals, student affairs professionals, and speech-language pathologists.
The EMU College of Education offers two excellent PhD programs. Our doctorate in Educational Leadership prepares effective leaders for PK-12, higher education, and other leadership roles and scholarship. Our doctorate in Educational Studies prepares individuals to work with impoverished communities as educators, scholars, community advocates, and activists.
The EMU College of Education offers professional certificate and non-certificate development opportunities as well as customized professional development for individuals with a bachelors seeking initial teacher certification, current teachers wanting to add teaching endorsements or enhancing leadership skills.
