College of Education advisors meet with students through online and phone appointments. Individual appointments are ideal for in-depth conversations. Quick questions of 5-10 minutes can be answered through virtual drop-in advising held twice a week. General advising questions can be emailed to [email protected].

COE Virtual Drop-in Advising
Starting August 17th students can do Zoom drop-in advising on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings throughout the fall semester. Drop-in advising is meant for quick questions and 5-10 minute conversations. Please book an appointment if you should need a lengthier appointment.
Tuesdays: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8:30-11:30 a.m.
COE Group Advising/Canvas Advising
Group Advising, suggested to be taken in the sophomore year and required for admission to Teacher Preparation Candidacy, can be completed through a self-paced Canvas session called “Navigating the EMU Path to Becoming a Teacher". Please email [email protected] to request access to this session
