Biography
Dr. Dell (she/her) is a scholar and a currently practicing Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio. She has a range of clinical experiences including working in private practice; serving in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment settings for substance use counseling; working with adults in outpatient mental health treatment; and supporting kids and teens at inpatient mental health treatment. Additionally, Dr. Dell has experience working professionally in student affairs at multiple universities, working in housing and residence life supervising student staff and doing crisis response for on-campus students.
Dr. Dell graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and has focused her research on exploring the use of anti-racist pedagogy in counselor training, especially as it relates to preparing counseling students to address
substance use in counseling. Her research interests also include multicultural & social justice issues in counseling; identity development; substance use counseling; career counseling; counseling pedagogy & supervision; and advocacy in the counseling profession.
