Biography

Kelli Dowd is a part-time lecturer for higher education and student affairs at Eastern Michigan University as well as an alumni of the program. Kelli teaches the student affairs internship course engaging with students as they complete internships in the field, synthesizing what has been learned throughout the program and how they are able to put skills to practice.

Kelli is also a full-time student affairs professional at Oakland University where she holds the position of Coordinator for Student Services, Leadership, and Engagement in the School of Health Sciences. Kelli facilitates a longitudinal, community-engaged leadership program for students studying to be future health professionals. Additionally, Kelli collaborates with faculty and staff to coordinate a special living option for students on campus studying health sciences. Kelli is also the Chair of the LGBTQIA employee resource group, Chair of the diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice task force in the school of health sciences, and sits on the professional development committee for student affairs professionals at Oakland University.
