Biography

Ramarra Garrett, Ph.D.

Ramarra Garrett is a visiting assistant professor of K-12 educational leadership. Her current research focuses on racial battle fatigue and its effects on the psychological, social experiences and attrition rates of Black educators. Before joining the faculty of Leadership & Counseling, Dr. Garrett was an elementary school data coordinator and classroom teacher. For three years she was a research assistant for the Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wayne State University and led evaluative research on the Metro Detroit Teaching Residency for Urban Excellence Project.
