Focus Groups and Listening Sessions: Adapting a Popular Research Technique to Gather Feedback on Programs and Courses
This event is designed to enhance participants' understanding and implementation of focus groups in the academic setting. The discussion will cover the premise and function of focus groups, as well as how to properly execute them. There will also be a portion dedicated to the practical use of listening sessions and considerations for getting helpful data. The discussion-based nature of this event will provide the opportunity for questions to be answered and the techniques included to be applied to individual situations. Dr. Gregory Plagens (Political Science) will join us to facilitate this workshop.
