Through the Bruce K. Nelson Faculty Development Center’s Teaching and Learning Together (TaLT) initiative, we aim to revitalize and institutionalize student-faculty partnerships in new ways throughout our campus. This fund will help support this initiative and allow for meaningful educational opportunities for students and faculty. This fund will be used for supporting Flipping the Script, our annual student-led teaching conference. It will also be used to support student-faculty research partnerships, focused on collaborative approaches to effective teaching and learning. Learn more about the TaLT initiative.
The Faculty Development Center and Dean of Students recognize the challenges that our community is facing and, in an effort to support their wellness through these times, we have collaborated to fund faculty in their efforts to support student wellness in their classroom. Each mini-grant awards faculty up to $250 and works to both support student well-being and to educate our community on the positive impact that these wellness practices can have on our students. The eFellows Development Fund supports faculty and full-time lecturers in obtaining the resources needed to successfully pilot innovative technology-based projects that enhance student-focused instruction in courses and curriculum. The overall outcome of this program is to improve and enhance student learning and the scholarship of teaching through the integration of appropriate technology.
