Biography

Dr. Mukherjee joined EMU in Fall 2024 with a specialization in International Relations and Comparative Politics. After receiving her PhD from Arizona State University in 2022, she taught as the Henry Luce Foundation/ASIANetwork Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of International Relations at Knox College from 2022-2024.

Her latest book titled  Understanding the Roots of Intractability in Hindu—Muslim Conflicts in India: A Political Analysis grapples with the dynamics of intractable conflicts, especially those fought over religion. Understanding these conflicts in terms of their intensity and duration, this book analyzes five decades (1950-2000) of Hindu-Muslim conflicts in India.
