Undergraduate Advising
Meet with an Advisor
If you have a major or minor in the Political Science Department or are thinking about one, we encourage you to come speak with one of our expert faculty about classes, post-graduation plans, and more. Once you declare a major in the department, we will assign you a specific faculty advisor. But you are always welcome to contact any of us for assistance.
If you are a declared major and are not sure who has been assigned as your advisor, please contact the department secretary, Anna Hillaker ([email protected]) or the department head, Dr. Barbara Patrick ([email protected]).
We also encourage you to contact the department head for help with issues involving graduation (course substitutions, waivers, problems with your audit, etc.).
Don't forget that you can monitor your progress toward graduation by consulting U.achieve.

2. If the instructor-of-record agrees to give you permission to take the class, they will forward your request to the Department Secretary ([email protected]) for a Banner approval. You will be notified via email once your override is processed.
