Placement Testing
The following presents a number of ways for students to either 'test out' of particular levels of courses and/or to earn college credit in an alternative format. We encourage students to take full advantage of these resources to ensure their education at Eastern Michigan University is as catered to their level of ability as possible.
Math
Students wishing to take the Math Placement Test may do so by contacting the Math Student Service Center at 734.487.4474.
World Languages
Students wishing to take the World Language Placement Test may do so by contacting the World Languages Department at 734.487.0338.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Testing
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. You can take a CLEP test at EMU or anywhere CLEP is offered across the country! For available EMU CLEP credit, please view the undergraduate catalog.
NOTE: Any CLEP test scheduled after October 19 2018 will be administered by EMU's Testing and Certification Center. Please contact them with date, time and additional info.
