Biography

Denise Kowalski MA-CCC SLP is the Co-Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Educator at Eastern Michigan University Speech and Hearing Clinic. Pediatrics is her preferred population with specialty treatment areas including: Childhood Apraxia of Speech, articulation, literacy and receptive/expressive language. She teaches CSD 528 Clinical Practice in Speech-Language Pathology 1 and supervises first and second semester graduate clinicians at EMU Speech and Hearing Clinic. Ms. Kowalski received the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in August of 2020 which represents accrual of 70 Continuing Education credits in a thirty-six-month period. Prior to EMU, Mrs. Kowalski's served as a SLP in various rehabilitation settings including hospital inpatient services, TBI facilities, elementary and middle schools, in addition to her own private practice.
