Biography

Dr. Jessica Grimone-Hopkins is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Eastern Michigan University. Her program area is Early Childhood Education. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. Prior to working in higher education Dr. Grimone-Hopkins has over 10 years of experience teaching and supervising in public and private schools. She taught pre-kindergarten, first and second grade special education, and was a student services supervisor. Her research focuses on early childhood inclusion and providing early childhood educators with the knowledge and tools they need to teach young children with disabilities.

When Dr. Grimone-Hopkins isn’t working, she is busy with her son, husband and dog. She enjoys swimming, being outdoors, and antiquing.
