Biography

Dr. Quilter is a faculty member in the Department of Teacher Education, currently serving as coordinator for the Master of Arts program in Educational Psychology and co-coordinator of the Educational Studies PhD program. His teaching interests include assessment, research, and quantitative methods. His service interests include program coordination, accreditation (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation), and school board (Chelsea). Current research interests include English Language learners and program evaluation. Dr. Quilter's appointment as assistant professor at EMU began in the fall of 1996. From 2002 through 2015, he served in various dean-level administrative roles within EMU's College of Education. He lives in Chelsea with his two elementary-school aged sons.
