EMU College of Education Graduate, Honored
Ché Carter, EMU College of Education graduate, was recently named the 2016 Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association Region Honors for Region 2, which is based on teaching/administrative experience, participation in professional and civic organizations, and advancing the profession through service. When he was an EMU student we received EMU’s Most Distinguished Young Educator of the Year award. Carter enrolled in classes at Eastern Michigan University in 2000 and was encouraged when a teacher told him there were kids out there who needed him and were waiting for him.
For a longer story of his life from when he as a student in Ann Arbor, though what changed his mind on his career choice and how he about becoming a teacher, to his multiple roles in schools see the story in the January 6, 2017 AAPS District News.
