Every Fall the Department participates in the FED Challenge. The team competes against other college teams at the Chicago Fed with a team on 3 to 5 students who provide a 20 minute presentation on the current economic situation, the outlook for future economic activity. The Economics Club is a student organization at Eastern Michigan University that coordinates with the Economics department and members to widen the scope of economic education to outside of the classroom and to help improve the department at-large.
The mission is to provide extra-curricular opportunities to study, work and network in the field of economics and related fields.
