Below is a list of all of our programs and projects. They are sorted into four categories based on who the program is primarily designed to engage with or assist: EMU Students, EMU Faculty and Staff, Community Members,  and Local Businesses.

Since many of our programs encompass such a diverse group of people, programs may be listed in multiple categories.

Community Work-StudyMatches work-study eligible students with a paid internship in their field of study with a local nonprofit or government agency.[email protected]
Digital Connecting Corps (DCC)Assists senior citizens with digital literacy through workshops, programs, and more.[email protected]
Eagle Engage CorpsAllows for students who have paused their education due to financial concerns to return and have University debt forgiven through directed community service hours[email protected]
Early College Alliance (ECA)Is an excellent public secondary option for high school students in Michigan's Washtenaw County, or any county contiguous to Washtenaw County to attend High School on EMU's campus.Contact Us! - About Us - ECA @ EMU
Eastern ScholarsProvides college-credit eligible courses at local high schools.[email protected]
EMU Legal Resource CenterOffers no-cost legal advice and assistance regarding family, probate, and small claims law.[email protected]
Family Empowerment ProgramSupports the Ypsilanti Housing Commission as a social services program allowing for flexible, directed assistance to its residents.[email protected]
Financial Empowerment CenterOffer free financial counseling to members of the Washtenaw County residents and EMU Students.[email protected]
K-12 CampsServes local youth by providing public and school sponsored summer camp opportunities.[email protected]
Minors On CampusIt is the policy of Eastern Michigan University that all existing and future University programs and activities involving minors must be developed and administered to provide a safe and protective environment for participating minors.[email protected]
Prevention@EMUImmersed in local schools and community centers, Prevention@EMU offers dynamic training for students to make healthy, low-risk choices regarding substance use.[email protected]
Professional Programs & Training (PPAT)Offers a wide variety of training, test prep, and continuing education courses.[email protected]
Re-Entry & College in PrisonOffers programs for students to assistent returning citizens, teach college in prison, and receive aid as a returning citizen.[email protected]

Southeast Michigan Stewardship Coalition (SEMIS)Brings place-based learning to community schools.[email protected]

The CollaborativeProvides low-cost affordable daycare in partnership with the Ann Arbor YMCA.[email protected] or [email protected]
Trio Student Support Services (SSS)Offers a multitude of resources for low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities to navigate the college experience.[email protected]
United Way Workplace CampaignIs a yearly donation drive amongst EMU faculty and staff to support United Way, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of those in our community.[email protected]
