Pediatric Psychology Lab
The pediatric psychology lab at EMU is directed by Catherine Peterson, Ph.D., who is an associate professor on the clinical psychology training faculty in the department of psychology at EMU. Dr. Peterson earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The George Washington University with an emphasis on child health and pediatric psychology, and she has trained and worked in several academic medical settings and on staff at children's hospitals. Her research interests generally focus on the family and psychosocial impact of childhood medical conditions, particularly in those conditions where there is a significant neurocognitive or academic component, underscoring the importance of a systems-based approach to managing children's health conditions.
