Small Business Development Center
Eastern Michigan University is the host of the southeast Michigan region office of the Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC). Affiliated with EMU College of Business and funded in part by a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the SBDC has 11 regional offices and over 30 satellite offices statewide, providing counsel, training and research services to the Michigan small business community.
The MI-SBDC enhances Michigan's economic well-being by providing counseling, training, research and advocacy for new ventures, existing small businesses and innovative technology companies. With offices statewide, the MI-SBDC positively impacts the economy by strengthening existing companies, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs, and helping companies define their path to success.
