Antonio Byrd Jr. - Oak Park, MI
Secondary Education - Class of 2025
Antonio is an education major interested in music production. On campus, he is involved with NEXT Scholars, the Eastern Echo, Videographers at EMU, and the Eagle Filmmaker's Association.
“Representation is essential in a community of people from so many different backgrounds. Eastern is so welcoming of all people. Therefore being able to see the perspectives of how different students interact on campus is truly insightful.”
Elena Davis - Brighton, MI
Public Relations - Class of 2025
Elena loves being able to share her passion for EMU as a student and through her work as an E Ambassador. On campus, she is involved with the EMU Cheer team and writes for the Eastern Echo.
“I love Eastern so much—it has truly changed me as a person and helped me find what I love to do. Being an E Ambassador is the least I could do to showcase this amazing school and give back to a community that has given me so much!”
Fah Pitakyouhan - Chonburi, Thailand
Human Resources and Organization Development - Class of 2025
Fah is an international student, an EMU alum, and a current graduate student. On campus, she is involved in the International Student Association and Housing and Residence Life.
“EMU is my second home. I’ve grown so much from all my experiences here professionally, academically, and personally. The connections and memories I’ve made with both the campus and the people are priceless, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.”
Hannah Karkheck - Redford, MI
English - Class of 2026
Hannah fell in love with EMU because of the campus’ lively and welcoming atmosphere. On campus she is involved in Greek Life, the Eagles Filmmakers Association, and the EMU Division of Communication.
“I wanted to become an E Ambassador because I want to show others how my own experience at Eastern has connected me to many people in such a fulfilling way.”
Laleh Walker - Ypsilanti, MI
Public Relations - Class of 2027
Laleh’s goal as an E Ambassador is to help show other commuter students how to be involved on campus and to make the most out of their college experience. On campus, she is involved in the Black Media Association, the Eastern Echo, the Black Honors Student Organization, and the Public Relations Student Society of America.
“I love EMU because I grew up in the area, so it feels like home to me. The campus community is unmatched, and in just two years, I’ve encountered countless opportunities that have enriched my education and connected me with amazing people.”
Lamarr Mitchell - New Baltimore, MI
Master of Business Administration - Class of 2025
Lamarr is an EMU alum and a current graduate student. On campus, he is involved with the EMU Marching Band, the EMU Division of Communication, Engage@EMU, and recreational sports.
“I like being an E Ambassador because I get to connect with the Eastern community on a more personal level. It's very rewarding to create social content that's personable, and resonates with other EMU students.”
Madilyn Williamson - San Antonio, TX
Communication - Class of 2026
Madilyn is an out-of-state student who is interested in film and communication. On campus, she is involved with many organizations such as the Eagle Filmmakers, Honors College, and EMU Alumni.
“I love how diverse the campus is. There is a community for everyone if you’re looking for one. It’s important to me that people see different areas of campus and what they could potentially be involved in.”
Olivia Caramagno - Hartland, MI
Communication - Class of 2025
Olivia loves showing her love for all things EMU as an E Ambassador. On campus, she is involved with the EMU Dance Team and the Office of Admissions.
“I love EMU because it provides an inclusive environment that gives students the opportunities they need to succeed. The faculty and staff genuinely care about student success, and that level of support has made a huge difference in helping me grow both as a student and a future professional.”
Ritu Ghosh - Dhaka, Bangladesh
Computer Science - Class of 2026
Ritu wanted to be an E Ambassador so she could help others fall in love with EMU. On campus she is involved as a student-athlete on the EMU Rowing team as well as being active within the Society of Women Engineers, the Honors College, the College Supports Program, and Orientation.

Samantha Phillips - Flat Rock, MI
Marketing - Class of 2026
Samantha likes that the E Ambassador program provides her with experience to help her develop her marketing skillset. On campus, she is involved in the EMU Marching Band, a national honorary band fraternity, and the Honors College.
“I really enjoy being able to represent engaging with campus as a commuter student. I like showing other commuters that they can be just as involved as resident students.”
Shayla Mostyn - Wixom, MI
Sociology - Class of 2026
Shayla was drawn to the E Ambassador program because of her love for social media. On campus, she is involved in organizations including Hillel at EMU, the Eastern Echo, and the Honors College,

Tra’chelle Lewis - Gwinnett County, GA
Public Relations - Class of 2027
Tra’chelle is an out-of-state student interested in social media. On campus, she is involved in Trio Student Support Services, Sistas That Care, and Style.

Interior Design - Class of 2027
Vivian loves that being an E Ambassador helps her build a sense of community at EMU. On campus, she is involved in Greek Life and the Honors College.
“EMU is where many of my lifelong friendships have formed and my involvement in organizations helps to foster those relationships that I value so deeply. Plus, our campus is absolutely beautiful to explore which makes EMU feel like home!”
