Eastern Michigan University is committed to providing barrier-free access to online content and functionality, ensuring that it is accessible to students, prospective students, employees, guests and visitors with disabilities.
All EMU websites must meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA standards. EMU could be subject to lawsuits or fines for failure to provide accessible content to all of its users. Because of this, EMU has adopted a Web Accessibility Policy.
EMU's website accessibility standards apply to all content hosted on a university server, as well as all content accessed via a link from any EMU web page. EMU web content or applications developed by third-party vendors must also meet EMU's website accessibility standards.
