Interests and Expertise
I've been teaching since 2000. In addition to teaching for EMU, I teach middle school English. I love being a part of both worlds; I think it strengthens my instruction.
I am interested in technology and multimodality. I strive to incorporate projects that honor both interests at all levels. My dissertation research focused on technology's inherent multimodal nature and how it can be used to promote critical and creative thinking. I firmly believe we must become more adept in technology and multimodality to prepare our students for life beyond the classroom.
