The Office of Family Programs at Eastern recognizes the integral role families play in student success, and provides support, resources and engagement opportunities to families of EMU students.
There are a number of ways our office can help you engage in your student's experience. Stay connected by following us on Facebook. Live the experience by attending Family Weekend and experiencing a slice of EMU life along with your student.
No question is too big or too small. If you ever have a question, please don't hesitate to contact us at email@example.com or at 734.487.3045.
Orientation begins in the spring with Fast Track (for freshman students) or a half-day Transfer In A Day session (for transfer students). For all students, your orientation process continues in August with First Three, a three-day welcome week/campus acclimation process which concludes with the start of classes.
This year's Family Weekend will take place Friday, September 28–Sunday, September 30, 2018. More information about the schedule and logistics of this event will be posted on the Family Weekend page.
We recognize the hard work and commitment of each EMU student in completing their degree. While they have reached the end of their college experience, they're just beginning their promising futures. Join family, friends and the Eastern community as we honor this year's graduates.
Your student may be living miles from home as they attend classes at Eastern, but you can still send a "care package" any time—and students love receiving them!
Each residence hall and apartment provides incoming and outgoing mail service for its residents. U.S. mail is distributed to student mailboxes Monday through Saturday. Special items like flowers, packages and flyers may be delivered to the residence hall’s front desk.
To ensure prompt delivery, address letters and packages with the following information:
Room # Building Name
Ypsilanti, MI 48197
Please do not include “Eastern Michigan University” in the mailing address. Doing so will route the item to a general campus mailroom and delay delivery.
