From tours to open houses and events, there are a variety of ways to experience the EMU campus and community. Browse the options below to choose one that works best for you and your family.
Campus tours are ideal for a prospective EMU student and their family. Tours are scheduled Monday through Friday and select Saturdays throughout the academic year. Register for a campus visit today to experience campus from a student's perspective.
Transfer tours are designed specifically for prospective transfer students. Take a tour of EMU to view campus with a current student and have the opportunity to meet with and hear from our admissions team.

Group tours are available for schools or community groups between 15 and 100 ninth-grade students and above. Group tours include an abbreviated campus tour, an admissions info session, and opportunities to hear from current students. Email us at [email protected] to schedule your visit today!
Eagle Preview Days are the perfect Saturday option for you and your family. Preview days will include a full campus tour, a presentation with an admissions advisor, and an optional activity to experience campus.

When you visit the Admissions Office for an official appointment, we will validate your parking in the Student Center lot. EMU Admissions will validate your parking for up to three (3) hours.
Ypsilanti, a culturally vibrant community, offers rich tradition, neighborhood shopping, museums and unique annual events. While you're here, check our historic Depot Town, an eclectic throwback shopping and restaurant district.
Looking to get outdoors? Ypsilanti expands beyond the downtown districts to include more than 23,000 acres of public parks and recreation areas.

Ann Arbor is a ten minute drive away and Detroit is only a 45 minute drive.
Our saying at EMU is Rain, Sleet, or Snow…Tours must go! We’ll try to showcase the campus as long as the university is open. However, there are times (especially during the winter) when the temperature may drop, and it’s no longer safe to be outside. When temperatures drop below 15 degrees, we will offer abbreviated 5-point tours during your visit. If the temperature drops below 0, we reserve the right to cancel tours for our staff’s safety. In the event of severe weather, we will communicate any updates with you on the morning of your visit.
Any visit would be great! If you’re looking for a more personalized experience, a campus tour would be best for you! If you’re curious to learn more about general EMU information or to get a first look at campus, our Open Houses and Preview Days would be recommended for you!
Yes! We welcome you to bring your supporters and guests to see where you could spend your college experience! Please limit your guests to 2 to be mindful of our group size.
Our campus tours involved about 90 minutes of walking around campus. Students and supporters will visit the Student Center, Halle Library, 1-2 Academic Buildings, a Residence Hall, and the Rec IM during each tour.
