Make Research Collaboration Easy: Exploring ForagerOne

The Undergraduate Symposium, with support from the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, is offering a new application, called ForagerOne, a web platform designed to help students and instructors across EMU connect and collaborate on research, innovation, creative activities, and more!

The Faculty Development Center hosted a drop-in session for faculty who want to learn more about ForagerOne, or would like assistance updating their research profiles. Amy Bearinger, Coordinator of the Undergraduate Symposium, was there to offer her guidance.

ForagerOne can be used to:

  • Post Research Projects: Instructors can post their research projects on ForagerOne to attract undergraduate students who are interested in joining their research teams.
  • Review Applicants: Instructors can review and respond to application messages from students who express interest in their projects.
  • Find Collaborators: Instructors can use ForagerOne to connect with other faculty members for potential collaborative research opportunities.
  • Engage with Students: Instructors can engage with students by providing feedback, guidance, and mentorship through the platform. Please be aware, this is not a platform for advising.
  • Stay Updated: Instructors can stay updated on educational institution events, news, and opportunities relevant to their research and teaching interests.

Please contact Amy Bearinger ([email protected]), Event Coordinator of the Undergraduate Symposium, if you have any questions about this.  You can also contact the ForagerOne Support Team ([email protected]) for tech support.
