Post-Bachelor's Degree Students
Non-Degree Students
Students who have completed a bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.0–2.69 are eligible for undergraduate non-degree enrollment.
This application type is common for students who need additional undergraduate classes to prepare for admission to a graduate program, second bachelor’s program or teacher preparation program. A non-degree student with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7 or higher should apply as a graduate non-degree student if they plan to enroll in graduate coursework. Otherwise, they should enroll as an undergraduate non-degree student.

Second Bachelor's
A second bachelor's degree is an option for students who already have a bachelor’s degree and want to pursue another one. Students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Post Bachelor's Teacher Preparation (PBTP)
Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree, do not have a teaching certificate and would like to earn an initial teaching certificate in Elementary or Secondary Education should apply for post-bachelor enrollment. Students must have earned a 2.5 cumulative undergraduate GPA for admission.
If an applicant has between a 2.0 and a 2.49 cumulative undergraduate GPA and meets all other admission conditions, they may be admitted as a post-bachelor’s non-degree student. Non-degree students must complete at least 12 credit hours at EMU and earns a 2.5 GPA (a "C" or higher must be earned in all coursework). Students will work with an advisor to select coursework.
To be eligible for full admission to the Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification program a student needs a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative undergraduate GPA and the items below.
