Congratulations on your admission to Eastern Michigan University! This is an exciting time, and we want to make sure you have all the information you need to make your best decision. The information will below will help you as you navigate the enrollment process.
Please see the below checklists for your next steps and guide to enrollment at Eastern Michigan University. Make sure to reference the list under the semester you intend to enroll and begin courses. If you have any questions, you can contact our office here.
Login to your admitted student portal to fill out the enrollment form. This is required before you can register for orientation.
Once you have submitted your enrollment form, head back to your admitted student portal and click on "Register for SOAR." You can then choose any session available that fits your schedule. During orientation (SOAR) you will meet your academic advisor, register for courses, and connect with your future classmates. SOAR is mandatory to attend to finalize your registration at EMU. After being admitted, complete the following in your admitted student portal:
Login to your EMU Admitted Student Portal to accept your offer of admission.
Once you have accepted your offer of admission in your student portal, you will be prompted to pay $55 to reserve your spot at EMU. Follow the instructions in your student portal to pay your deposit. Your deposit is refundable through May 1, 2025. For questions about your enrollment deposit, see our FAQ section at the bottom of this page.

If you plan to live on campus, make sure to apply for housing here. The housing application is open until June 15, 2025. A $150 non-refundable fee is required to start the application.
