The Egbert R. Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room

The Egbert R. Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room celebrates the scholarly achievements of Eastern Michigan University's tenured and tenure-track faculty. It serves as a celebration of the university's intellectual and artistic output, highlighting the exceptional talent and expertise of our professors.

The space exists thanks to the generous donation from the Isbell family, in memory of their father Egbert R. Isbell, a Michigan State Normal College emeritus professor of history and former Dean of Administration.

Materials 

The Egbert R. Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room houses a collection of EMU tenured and tenure-track faculty’s publications and creative works. These may include:

• Books and Monographs
• Edited Books
• Conference Proceedings
• Research Reports and White Papers
• Musical Scores
• Artwork and other visual works

A list of faculty scholarship, including journal articles and other digital materials, can be found in DigitalCommons@EMU.

Dissertations and theses authored by EMU faculty are not included in this collection.

All print materials in the Egbert R. Isbell Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room are included in the Library’s catalog and discoverable using Esearch. 

Acquisition Policy

The University Library will purchase faculty publications in accordance with the library Collection Development Policy.  

Access and Accessibility

The Egbert R. Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room is open during regular library hours. 

All print materials in the Egbert R. Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room are available for circulation in accordance with the Library’s borrowing, returning, and renewing policies. 

Location

The Egbert R. Isbell Faculty Publications Reading Room is located on the second floor, room 214.
