Troubleshooting access to online resources 

The EMU Library's online resources can be accessed from off campus. When problems occur, they are most often web browser issues, but can also be due to other problems, or temporary technical issues with the resources. If the tips below don't help, please contact us.

Problems and possible solutions:

• Browser, network or ISP problem - most common problems and solutions
• EMU NetID password problem - the Remote Access to Library Online Resources page won't accept password
• Ebook problems - specific to library ebooks
• Other problems - the database is asking for a password other than the EMU NetID, etc.

Alternate solutions: 

• VPN for faculty and staff - provides authorized access from off campus to the campus network and library resources.
• Michigan Electronic Library (MeL) databases - access to a limited set of databases for all Michigan residents; login with your driver's license or state ID.
