The Bruce T. Halle Library at Eastern Michigan University is responsible for supporting student research and as such provides access to print and digital resources. More specific areas for collecting include:
The Children's Literature Collection contains books appropriate for children in grades K-12. It includes non-fiction books, novels, nursery rhymes, short stories, poetry, plays and biographies. Books in the Children's Literature Collection are available for browsing on the 2nd floor of the library.
Digital Commons @ EMU is a digital showcase of scholarly and creative works produced by Eastern Michigan University students, faculty, and staff. Administered by the University Library, Digital Commons @ EMU is created to organize, preserve, and increase the impact of scholarly and creative work at the Eastern Michigan University.
The Eastern Michigan University Archives collects, preserves and provides access to historical resources created by University faculty, staff, students and administrators.
The Education Resource Collection contains K-12 textbooks and other lesson planning materials. Located on the second floor of the library near the Children's Literature section. Electronic curriculum resources also available.
The Government Documents Collection contains published government information from state, federal and international government bodies. The collection is designated by the Federal Government as a selective depository that receives about 50 percent of all federal publications.
The Maps Collection contains atlases, topographic maps, ocean surveys, coastal charts, maps from defense mapping agencies, as well as a collection of travel and tourism resources. It is located on the 1st floor of the library in Room 114.
