Halle Heart Beats Exceed Fundraising Goal at 2025 Heart Walk

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Halle Library team, the Halle Heart Beats, proudly participated in the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Michigan. As part of the Eastern Michigan University campus community, our dedicated team surpassed their fundraising goal, raising a total of $1,587.78 in support of heart health research and education.

The Heart Walk is more than just a walk; it is a vital community event that raises funds to support lifesaving scientific research, public health education, and resources aimed at preventing and treating heart disease and stroke.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all team members, including our coach Marlene Thomas and team Amy Singer, Nolan Singer, Donna Rogers, Helen Parkin, Karen Rogers-Collins, Kelly Parkin, Val Bleakley, and Victor Collins, whose commitment and energy made this achievement possible. We also want to thank everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts.

Donations to the Halle Heart Beats team remain open for six weeks after the event. If you would like to support this important cause, you can still donate online through the American Heart Association’s official Heart Walk page
